1885
Decision for the new “Wageren” location. The report from a member of the Asylum Commission states: “Out on the periphery of our flourishing Uster, on a sunny plateau, away from the noisy hustle and bustle of an industrial town and yet easily and conveniently accessible, is now - visible from afar and immediately catching the eye - ours "It is a building in a monumental style, but in simple, measured forms, an ornament in its external form, but in its meaning an honorable monument for the entire community."

1889
New building with 24 beds (own building). The new building was financed solely by donations and was put into operation on May 9, 1889.

1908
First expansion to include a two-story wing, now 45 beds (no longer exists today).

1963
A new ward block replaces the very first hospital building. The hospital now has 252 beds

1965
Completion of the extension buildings (south ward, physical therapy).

The shortage of nursing staff prompted the Zurich Country Hospital Association to set up a nursing school for the chronically ill. The theoretical and practical training lasted 1.5 years, with six students each.

2012
New practice rooms (including emergency practices) and offices will be created to the left of the main entrance. For the first time, over 50,000 patients are cared for and treated.

2018
The new bed pavilion with twelve patient rooms and additional rooms will be put into operation in July 2018. The additional space can be used to compensate for bottlenecks in inpatient and outpatient areas.

2020
The first construction phase of the renovation and expansion can begin in spring 2020. It includes the construction of an underground car park, an emergency services building and the new energy center.
